In the principle of operation of two switches, there are four combinations, two when the light bulb is on and two combinations when it is off. For the correct connection of the conductors, it is necessary to check the separation of all six conductors (three of one and three of the other). The next step is to turn on the associated fuse and then with the help of a test lamp and test all the conductors. The lamp will light up only at one phase conductor. It is necessary to remember that conductor and turn off the fuse. After that, the conductor is clamped with the middle screw of the first switch, and the other two are tied to the remaining screws. How these two conductors will be arranged is absolutely not of crucial importance. At the second dose, a phase conductor is also found and should be remembered. The switch is switched on the first switch, which changes its position. In this case, the search for the phase conductor with a test lamp is repeated, then it is memorized and the fuse is turned off. Now it is most important to take care of the third non-phase conductor because it is attached to the middle screw of the second switch. Other conductors are attached to other free screws.
